The use of cannabinoids in the treatment of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder - a review of the latest literature.

Introduction: Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a common problem in adolescents and adults around the world. ADHD particularly characterized by inattention, impulsiveness hyperactivity, order to deal with these problems, patients often resort other methods of treatment addition classic pharmacotherapy. Increasing numbers are self-medicating cannabis, despite lack specific evidence on its efficacy safety.
 Aim study: The purpose this study was review most recent available literature use cannabidiol ADHD. For purpose, PubMed scopus databases were reviewed. phrase "cannabidiol ADHD" used database search. After reviewing titles abstracts, 15 articles cited them obtained analyzed detail.
 Results: Cannabinoids reported have pharmacological anxiolytic, neuroprotective, antidepressant, antipsychotic hypnotic effects. Single-case studies treated show that cannabinoids reduced improved focus control impulsive behavior. Patients also side effects cannabis use, being mild short-term memory dry mouth, sleepiness, occasional experiences constant thirst greater forgetfulness. Most acute related neuropsychiatric symptoms associated cardiac sympathomimetic effects
 Conclusion: There for as well influence cannabinoid system involvement neurological psychiatric disorders. However, more controlled clinical trials needed determine effect norms indication.
